Thought it was interesting now the first two things you guys talked about kind of meshed. Simone is worrying about changing but before that you were talking about Jesus Camp and how those people never change. Of course they won’t ever change, they’re Conservatives and that’s their entire philosophy isn’t it? They have all the right answers, they have life figured out therefore the way they are used to do things must be the right way and therefore it must always be conserved. Simone has not perfectly conserved her life as it used to be and that’s a good thing! It indicates growth, evolution, change and a willingness to re-evaluate things and I think those are all great and necessary things!
Hope that’s encouraging/complimentary to Simone because it was intended to be!
Hey dudes, this episode won’t download for me via iTunes. It comes up as undated in the feed and before the first episode as well as not being able to be downloaded.
Sorted! Thanks Chris!
Hello Simone and Steph… Personally nothing more clearly articulates what is wrong with the foo fighters than this video 0:00-4:10 (you may have to be familiar with the original to understand). And, (of more interest to you both) If you ever have to miss a supergrass concert and need an excuse to be angry with them watch 4:10-10:10. ;-P https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3gOhCS36bE
Chris, Simone and I were in LA that night and Gaz got a police escort from the Who taping to the Supergrass show right after it at the Avalon!
Yeah, if not for the Foo Fighters that year, I wouldn’t be friends with all of the Supergrass lads since they were here to open that FF tour! I forgot about the police escort to get Gaz to the Supergrass headlining show on time! Another good thing about that Who tribute is that Gregg grabbed an ad for it from a newspaper box on the street and sold it on eBay for $60 or some stupid amount. He saw it right as we’d finished having a lame, overpriced meal. It totally covered the meal and then some! Aside from these benefits, I oppose such tribute shows. When I still liked FF I went to a taping of Johnny Cash tribute where they were at doing a song with Kris Kristofferson. Gregg went to see KK, me to see FF. Ha! Needless to say, it was not great. Going to see The Who in a few weeks. Yay! Hopefully Dave doesn’t make appearance. Blech.
Not sure why I ever thought my “Hey, do you know this small fact about super grass?” was ever going to be greeted with anything less than a resounding “yes!” None the less I can rest the knowledge that I didn’t line the foo fighters before you – I’m usually late to these awakenings.
A group of dongs should be called “A Slap of Dongs.”
After reading something on the quiver full movement, I was thinking a quiver of dongs.
