Then Stephy confesses two extraordinarily bitchy things she’s done (one was to a roommate and another one was online) and Simone recounts an epic practical joke she pulled, then ponders her dislike of lying, to which Steph cannot relate.

OMG, I loved that "contest" on that girl's blog for the book. When she posed as "Jorge" to get you back–that was the most. I wish you guys were still publicly at odds with one another. So good.
Simone, I forgot to ask you if you've ever come across Rip Taylor, the King of Confetti. You seem to have run-ins with all kinds of A,B,C,and D list celebs (hate that word) and thought you might have crossed paths with Rip.
Ryan, no! I haven't come across Rip Taylor, though you are correct in thinking that I should. There's this thing in LA called the Hollywood Collector's Show which is a haven to meet all sorts of stars from yesteryear. I've met Eddie Haskell, Wilbur and Carole from Mister Ed and the Doc from The Love Boat to name a few. The latter was quite tragic because I went up and said hi, but told him I didn't have enough money for a photo. He asked how much I had and when I said "$2" he said "I'll take it." He did ask if I had enough to get home and I assured him I did.
$2 for a photo?! I'm sorry, that sounds like a dick move DOC FROM LOVE BOAT.
Well, that's the point of the whole event. The celebrities are whoring themselves out for photos and autographs. One of the saddest things I ever saw was Frank Gorshen who played The Riddler on the Batman TV series calling out to Phyllis Diller "Phyllis, I'm not makin' any money over here!"
I was about to go on but I decided I should save it for the show.
OMG!! That kills me and makes me feel a little sad for Doc and then happy again. I wish he would have completed that thought with, "I'll take it. I need change for the bus."
When I was living in LA I tried to go garage-sale-ing in the hills, cause that's where the good shit is. I came across an estate sale for Shirley Jones and of course had to go. It was very organized and when you arrived you were given a xeroxed packet talking about Shirley and all her achievements. I thought it was going to be like a catalog of all the stuff that was for sale but it went on about her singing, acting and charity work. Nothing about what was for sale. I think they were just trying to butter us up, wanting to make us feel like the $90 we'd spent on a mix-matched set of coasters was a steal. I did end up buying one tumbler for $30 that I ended up breaking.
You guys! Lauren saved the comments we left and she just sent them to me! Here is the last one I left and signed it Heather:

I literally cannot sleep tonight knowing that the book drawing is tomorrow. I am on pines and needles! I am going to pray for peace in my heart right now. “Dear God, Thank you for [Jorge]. Thank you for this

Thank you so much for using [Jorge] as your vessel to help us know what a wonderful life looks like to be lived out on this earth you have created. Please help me to rest tonight and give me peace in my heart if I am not the one of the ones who is chosen to receive this book. Thank you again for [Jorge] and all her things she does. Help me to commit to you all my cares, for you care for me. Amen.”

"Well shucks! All this makes me wish I’d been a regular comment-or so I could enter too!! I guess it’s a lesson in speaking in boldness like the Lord commands, lol lol. I definitely feel as though I know YOU from reading your blog so in depth but I certainly respect your decision to limit the contest a little! Things like this can get out of hand! I just think it’s so, so wonderful that after all you do to inspire and encourage us moms day in and day out, you go the extra mile to encourage not just our hands and hearts as mommies, but our brains too!
