I just had to pause the podcast without listening a minute further, I had to comment. Everytime I have watched Disney's The Ugly Duckling, I've cried! When I was a kid the Disney Channel would run something called "Vault Disney" at night and play vintage cartoons and shows. This is where I would see The Ugly Duckling, and it got me crying every fucking time. I saw myself in that little unloved "ducking", Stephanie knows all the gritty details behind that bullshit through our emails. Ugh.

Anyway, I'm sure you are probably already aware of these Simone, but I wanted to put forth two of my absolute favorites from that Disney era as suggestions to watch with Quincy (or alone) the first is called "Donald Duck In Mathmagic Land" (Donald was always my favorite Disney character) amd another is called "Toot, Whistle, Plunk, and Boom" it's about the history of music. Oh! And basically every little Jiminy Cricket "I'm No Fool" short, I've forgotten what they were actually called.

Ok, back to the show!

Re: Clueless Christians and their gay friends, a friend and I were looking at some old photos from a high school weekend away with our church youth group. There was a picture of one of our friends, immaculately blow dried hair wearing a pink shirt and putting some kind of skin care on his hands. He is now openly gay and we had no idea. He had more girlfriends than me In high school so why would I suspect anything? Actually three of the small group Chrisitians were gay. Maybe being in the uncoolest (and most unlikely to get any female attention) group at school was the perfect way to hide your sexuality.

Yeah, if not for the Foo Fighters that year, I wouldn't be friends with all of the Supergrass lads since they were here to open that FF tour! I forgot about the police escort to get Gaz to the Supergrass headlining show on time! Another good thing about that Who tribute is that Gregg grabbed an ad for it from a newspaper box on the street and sold it on eBay for $60 or some stupid amount. He saw it right as we'd finished having a lame, overpriced meal. It totally covered the meal and then some! Aside from these benefits, I oppose such tribute shows. When I still liked FF I went to a taping of Johnny Cash tribute where they were at doing a song with Kris Kristofferson. Gregg went to see KK, me to see FF. Ha! Needless to say, it was not great. Going to see The Who in a few weeks. Yay! Hopefully Dave doesn't make appearance. Blech.
