We are social animals, we conform. So when you (implicitly or explicitly) keep telling people “guys act like this and women act like that” then that is probably how they will end up acting and then everyone acts as if that’s the natural way of things and has always been.

As of time of writing (which is about 3am Wednesday, Pacific time) the episode isn’t showing up on Itunes or my pocketcast app, so I snagged it from the Feral website.

Simone, you got me again, I snorked (laughed + snorted) on my bus journey to work – your music selection under the Duggar story proves your evil genius credentials. The Duggars are pretty much unknown over here, but since wherever Stephy points, I read, I was pretty clued up about them, so I experienced the dark joy of seeing that whole family, especially the father, dragged through the mud. On reflection though, I’m not sure that dark joy says anything good about me.
