Oddly, I have actually seen Top Gun. I made my dad rent it for me shortly after it came out on video. Still don’t know what possessed me, but I thought it was stupid when I was eleven and I think it’s stupid at thirty-five. And I still have to cover my eyes during that tongue bath scene set to “Take My Breath Away.” I’m all for graphic sex scenes, but they shouldn’t involve Tom Cruise.

I had to leave this comment anonymously in case certain people click over from Facebook…but you guys can tell by my email that you know me…uhhh anyway…this podcast reminded me of the WORST thing I ever did to a roommate. She was technically a replacement roommate that the girl I had agreed to live with recruited to take her place over the summer. So basically I suddenly had no say in who I lived with. And it was SUPER AWKWARD because she never talked to me or looked me in the eye and was either gone or in her room with the door shut. Also the only food she had in the apartment were those Smucker’s peanut butter and jelly sandwich pouches that she kept in the freezer. Anyway…one day she was at work and left her AIM signed in and I had a long conversation with her mom (as her) where I revealed that I (she) was pregnant. It kind of bugs me that she never said anything to me about it, because I’m pretty sure an entire day went by wherein her whole family thought she was knocked up by a guy named Tino that she met at a bar called Cans.

Another no ‘Teen Wolf’! I was about to be shocked and saddened, but then I remembered that many feel that way about the fact that I’ve never seen ‘Top Gun’. Both are required viewing for anyone over 30.
